LAWYERCY MEMBERSHIP
Membership and privacy information
Who can join
Free research membership is available to practising lawyers and students currently enrolled on a law course. An administrator must approve your application. We may ask for clarification or evidence of eligibility. Approval is for access to this service and is not a certification of professional standing.
Using your membership
Your account is personal and must not be shared. Approved members have no daily research quota. Concurrency limits, service capacity and third-party source restrictions remain applicable. Automated access, bulk downloading and misuse are not permitted. We may suspend access where eligibility changes or the service is misused. Free access and available features may change.
Email-code sign-in
Sign-in codes are sent to your approved email address. Each code expires after 10 minutes, permits at most five attempts and can be used once. Protect your email account and do not share codes. An essential security cookie connects the code to your browser. Member sessions expire after eight hours or when the session cookie is removed.
Your application details
We use the details you provide to assess eligibility, administer membership, prevent abuse and communicate application decisions and sign-in codes. Applications are stored privately in WordPress and accessible to authorised administrators. A notification containing your application details is sent to info@lawyercy.com. Your research-member profile is not automatically published in the lawyer directory.
Application and account records are retained for membership administration and review. To request access, correction or deletion, or to ask about retention, contact info@lawyercy.com. This form does not subscribe you to marketing emails. Please also read the site privacy policy.
